ATLS Provider Course in Medical Simulation Center

Medical Simulation Center organized Advanced Trauma Life Support Provider Course (ATLS) on May 27-29 for 12 Residents from Surgery, Orthopedic, Emergency Medicine and Anesthesia programs.  This course aims to train the Residents on important aspects of ATLS that include Airway and Ventilatory Management, different injuries and traumas, and Surgical Skills Practicum.

The course focused on the concept of the "Golden Hour" which means the time when the critically injured patients arrive at the hospital and how to handle them efficiently in order to save their lives or minimize the damage and effects of the injury. The participant residents were divided into groups and received intensive hands-on practical sessions.
